This year, 71 entrants submitted 77 designs for the festival poster competition. Sato Koji, a Yamagata resident who works at a design school, submitted the winning entry, which will be used on the flyers annoucing call for entries, the website, the cover of the catalog, tickets and on other film festival paraphernalia as the main graphic motif for YIDFF 2003.
