The main program of our special events at this year’s YIDFF focuses on Okinawa! A grand retrospective covering pre-war footage to the most up-to-date offerings, screening a host of Okinawa-related works and feature films. Symposiums, photo exhibitions and live performances are scheduled. In addition, we will be featuring a comprehensive collection of the works of Newsreel, a filmmaking collective formed in the USA in the late 1960s. We’ll be bringing you details as they come to hand.
