YAMAGATA Documentary Film Library annexes are in operation at the Yamagata City Library (Yamagta City, Konidamachi 7-12) from March 3 and the Tohoku University of Art & Design Library from April 11. Each facility features video booths where documentary works from the Film Library archive can be viewed with no charge. Works will be rotated regularly. No charge. Please note that works are not available for lending.

The YIDFF Organizing Committee has been awarded the 54th Kahoku Culture Award for “distinguished service in contributing to the promotion of documentary film.” The Kahoku Cultural Award is awarded to individuals and organizations who make noteworthy contributions in the areas of academic learning, culture, sports, industry and society in the Tohoku region.
