2002-11-01 | Recruiting Pre-Selection Committee members

How would you like to be one of the members of the Pre-Selection Committee? The selection committee is made up of approximately ten people raging from specialists to members of the YIDFF Organizing Committee, and we are looking for some citizens who would select the works with us.

We began accepting submissions to the YIDFF2003 on September 1st, and the number of works has already exceeded the number for the some time previously. The task of selecting from among more than several hundred films is a difficult one spread out over a long period, but this is an excellent chance to come into contact with the world’s newest works. We look forward to receiving applications from people who are very enthusiastic about doing this kind of work.


Number of members sought: two

Necessary conditions:
  1. There are no restrictions as to age or gender.
  2. One must be able to view more than two hundred films between December and early June, 2003. (Please note that there are no Japanese language subtitles for the foreign films.)
  3. One must be able to come to the Yamagata office (5th floor of the Yamagata City Hall) once or twice a week.
