Profile of lecturer: Murayama Kyoichiro

Film critic, Film researcher. Currently, he writes reviews for film magazines and newspapers. He also teaches film history and visual theory at universities and professional schools. From 1993 to 2003 he served on the YIDFF International Competition pre-selection committee, and at YIDFF 2005 he was a juror for New Asian Currents. His widely published writings and translations include Georges Sadoul’s “l’Histoire generale du cinema (“Sekai eiga zenshi”)” co-translation, “Eiga wa sekai o kirokusuru Dokyumentari saiko,” editor and “Dokyumentari; Riaru warudo e fumikomu hoho,” editor.
