2021-12-03 | Open call for entries! Yamagata Documentary Dojo 4

The Yamagata Documentary Dojo is a 30-day residency program for Asian filmmakers in a hot spring spa resort in the mountains of Yamagata, Japan. The retreat allows 3 teams of 5 filmmakers with documentary film projects the opportunity to work intensely on their rough cuts, deepen creative ambitions, and to network with Japanese and other international filmmakers.

Following travel restrictions due to the pandemic, the program may be changed to an online format, where the filmmakers will be attending the program in a retreat within their own respective countries.
