2026 is upon us! The YIDFF festival team is pleased to offer you our best wishes for the new year.
Thanks to the support of many friends, last October’s YIDFF 2025 was a great success, with a record number of attendance of over 26,000. We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who supported the festival and our ongoing activities.
This year there will be no festival edition, as we will use the time in preparation for the next YIDFF, scheduled for autumn 2027. We will also be keeping busy organizing screening events, supporting community screenings, offering film and media education programs, and operating our film library. As we look ahead to the 20th edition of the Yamagata International Film Festival, we greatly appreciate your continued support and encouragement.
