2018-01-17 | “First Encounters with Documentary: Organized by high schoolers”

Yamagata high school students who helped run YIDFF 2017 last October (“YIDFF Youth”) are back with a new project to organize a screening event of their own. They chose two films from the New Asian Currents lineup—Ogawa Shinsuke Prize winner Yellowing and Award of Excellence winner Up Down & Sideways. Director Chan Tze-Woon (of Yellowing) will join us in Yamagata again to discuss the future of Hong Kong and documentary with the students.
