Director's Statement

I was born in 1964 in Naryn, Kyrgyzstan. I come from a very big family of ten children, my father a farmer and my mother a housewife. The nature of our Motherland, the mountains, and my grandfather left a strong influence on my creative works. My grandfather taught me to love my land, my nation, and the very colorful traditions.
My works depict the whole of my life and the lives of my people. Jaiyk is the first page in the big story about the life and culture of the Kyrgyz people and their wonderful land, which they love and care about.
