Q: When will the film festival be held?
A: Over seven days from Friday, October 10 to Thursday, October 16, 2003

Q: What’s in the program for this year? Where and when will it be available?
A: This year’s program includes the International Competition, New Asian Currents, and special events including Okinawa Panorama, Yamagata Newsreel and more. Scheduled films and a program outline will be announced on the YIDFF website and in the email magazine YIDFF News.
A program flyer will be available in late August from ticket centers, cinemas, community centers in Yamagata City, the YAMAGATA Documentary Film Library (Big Wing 3F), YIDFF Organizing Committee Office (Yamagata Office), art-house theaters (Sapporo, Tokyo, Osaka, etc.) and audio-visual cultural facilities across Japan.

Q: How many screening venues are there?
A: A total of seven screens in four locations: Yamagata Central Public Hall, Yamagata Terrsa, Muse and Solaris.

Q: How much are the tickets and where can I purchase them from?
A: Tickets are now on sale at the Yamagata festival office, ticket agencies and cinemas in Yamagata City, JTB and Traveland branches, and at convenience stores and Ticket Pia branches all over Japan.

Q: Can I obtain information or recommendations about accommodation in Yamagata?
A: Information and recommendations concerning hotels and ryokans located in Yamagata City will be available. An announcement will be made in August 2003 on the YIDFF website and our email magazine YIDFF News.

Q: I’d like to get involved in the festival, but what can I do?
A: Volunteer recruitment now has begun. For more information, click information on Volunteers.
