    Our School (Uri hakkyo)

    KOREA / 2006 / Korean, Japanese / Color / Video / 131 min
    Director: Kim Myeong-joon

    - Our School (Uri hakkyo) is a documentary film about the lives of third- and fourth-generation ethnic-Korean students in a pro-North Korean private school in Hokkaido. The South Korean filmmaker follows the students through one school year, studying Korean language and culture. Rather than focusing on special occasions or issues, the film reveals what it is like to live in Japan as a Korean-Japanese by describing their everyday lives. Pusan International Film Festival 2006, Woonpa Award.
