The Golan Heights of Syria was subjected to a military invasion by Israel in 1967. In this film, set among the ruins left in a village that, like Palestine, became occupied territory, a woman’s everyday acts of cleaning and arranging a room are portrayed. This short film shows how small, daily gestures become acts of resistance against large-scale violence.
