Two women. One living in the north of Israel, and the other in the West Bank. In portraying their everyday lives through thoughtful dialogue, it shows that daily routines and personal choices can become a form of resistance against Israeli occupation and patriarchy, and also became as a foundation for contemporary Palestinian cinema.

In 1930s Palestine, at the time of the British Mandate, a German-Jewish researcher of “oriental” music, Robert Lachmann, hosted a radio program. Efforts to recreate this program highlight not only the contradictions and limits of the colonial perspective but also the appeal of music in resistance to annihilation and as passed down in the course of everyday life.

Film and photographic materials held at the Palestinian Research Center in Beirut was looted by Israeli forces and altered to look like historical documents supporting the narrative of the founding of the Israeli nation. As an act of protest against this falsification of history, the filmmaker blots out captions and subjects that Israel inserted into these materials and reverses their meaning, resurrecting Palestinian history.
