YIDFF 2023 Information

YIDFF 2023 Overview

We are pleased to announce the program for the upcoming Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival 2023, taking place from October 5 (Thu) to 12 (Thu). It will be the first time in four years that the festival is held physically.

This year’s festival will once again offer the powerful experience of watching cutting-edge art cinema that captures the world’s “here and now” on the silver screen, the joys of enjoying and discussing exceptional films with a large audience, and forums overflowing with heated excitement. Yamagata in autumn is blessed with abundant hot springs, cuisine, and beautiful natural scenery, and is the perfect place to enjoy the latest world-class films. We hope you will come join us!
